Thaçi et al. (administration of justice): Continued detention for H. Thaçi (September 2026)

In its latest detention review decision of 30 September 2026, the Single Trial Judge ordered the continued detention of Hashim Thaçi. The Judge found that the risks that the accused may obstruct the progress of the proceedings or commit further offences continue to exist. 
The Judge also considered Thaçi’s recent conviction and sentence in case KSC-BC-2020-06 and found that they do not alter the need for periodic reviews of his detention in the present case, which is assessed, in principle, on the basis of factors arising from these proceedings.
