Thaçi et al. (administration of justice): motion re. jurisdiction rejected

On 19 June 2025, the Pre-Trial Judge rejected the preliminary motion filed by the Defence of Hashim Thaçi, which challenged the jurisdiction of the Specialist Chambers. The Judge found that the issues raised did not constitute jurisdictional challenges and rejected both of the Defence's arguments: that the proceedings should have been initiated by Trial Panel II and that the assignment of the Pre-Trial Judge was in violation of the Law.
