Thaçi et al.: Deadline for notices of appeal extended; modalities for victims’ participation set

On 29 September 2026, the Court of Appeals Panel partially granted the Defence request for an extension of time to file notices of appeal against the Trial Judgment. The Panel also granted the same extension to the SPO and set 27 November 2026 as the deadline for any notices of appeal by the Defence and the SPO. More details are available in the decision. 

In another decision issued today, the Appeals Panel adopted the modalities for victims’ participation in the appellate proceedings, finding that a regime similar to the one applied during the trial proceedings should apply, with the necessary adjustments.
