Today, the Political and Security Committee (PSC) of the European Union visited the Kosovo Specialist Chambers and Specialist Prosecutor’s Office in The Hague. President Ekaterina Trendafilova, Specialist Prosecutor Jack Smith and Registrar Dr. Fidelma Donlon briefed the PSC Ambassadors on developments of the Specialist Chambers and the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office and answered questions.

“I was very pleased to welcome the EU’s Political and Security Committee to our new premises and very much appreciated the expression of continued strong support for the work of the Specialist Chambers and the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office that we heard from them,” the President said.

“The European Union supports the efforts of the Specialist Chambers and the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office as independent judicial institutions to deliver fair, impartial and effective justice for alleged crimes committed within their jurisdiction,” Chair of the PSC, Ambassador Sofie From-Emmesberger stated.
