The 2025 annual report of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) together with the annual report of the Specialist Prosecutors’ Office (SPO) is now available on the KSC website in the three official languages of the court: Albanian, Serbian and English. The Report informs about several significant milestones that were reached across all levels of the proceedings in 2025. The Report also provides information about the functions and activities of the independent Ombudsperson for the KSC and the SPO.

The judicial activities of the KSC progressed significantly throughout the course of 2025. The KSC’s leadership case involving war crimes and crimes against humanity concluded at the end of the year with the closure of the Defence case and the Appeals Panel issued its judgment in another war crimes case. In addition, pre-trial proceedings in a case related to offences against the administration of justice were completed and plea agreements were approved in a second case with the three accused admitting guilt to charges of obstructing official persons in performing official duties.

The President and the Registrar travelled to Kosovo in May and October 2025, respectively, to meet with stakeholders and to inform them about ongoing court activities. The President also made herself available for interviews with Kosovo media and meetings with civil society. The outreach team has continued to organise a wide range of events throughout Kosovo during 2025. The court live-streams its hearings on its website and makes them available on its YouTube page. Key developments are announced in weekly press briefings, through the live-update function on the website and via the court’s X and Instagram accounts.
