Today, the Judges of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) convened for their eighth plenary. During the plenary, the Judges adopted an amendment to the Code of Judicial Ethics for Judges appointed to the Roster of International Judges of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (Code of Judicial Ethics). The Code of Judicial Ethics was adopted by the Judges during their first plenary in March 2017.

The amendment aligns the Code of Ethics with the KSC Anti-Harassment Policy, which was adopted in December 2022. With this amendment to the Code of Judicial Ethics, which already prohibits any form of discrimination, harassment, including sexual harassment, and abuse of authority, the Judges intend to further solidify their commitment to accountability and demonstrate their intent to be bound by the important principles applicable to all categories of persons working at the KSC. This amendment to Article 5(3) of the Code of Judicial Ethics enters into force today.

The Judges were further updated by the President on ongoing institutional matters and heard presentations from the Registrar.
