Today, Thursday, 1 November, the Kosovo Specialist Chambers (KSC) added new names to the Lists of lawyers for Defence and Victims’ Counsel, in addition to Counsel who are already admitted. The  new updated public Lists contain the names of 119 legal practitioners from Kosovo, Serbia and a number of other countries. Being on those Lists enables lawyers to be eligible to appear before the KSC to represent suspects, accused, a group of victims or any other person who is entitled to legal representation in accordance with the Law establishing the KSC and the Directive on Counsel. Counsel can choose whether they want their names publicly mentioned on the website of the KSC.

This is the third round of announcements, in addition to the Lists announced on 14 March 2018 and 11 May 2018. The public Lists of Counsel can be seen in the table available on the KSC website

Since November 2017, when the process started, the Defence Office and the Victims’ Participation Office have received numerous applications. The review of applications and the process of admission of Counsel is ongoing. Therefore, these Lists of Counsel will be constantly updated and more applicants will be admitted as the review process continues. Thus, the process will remain open.

The details for admission can be found in the Guide for Applicants.
