Following the examination of the current witness Marek Gasior by the SPO and the Victims’ Counsel, the trial against Pjetër Shala is adjourned for the week. This trial will resume on Monday, 3 July 2023 at 09:30, when the witness is expected to be cross-examined by the Defence. The hearing, scheduled for tomorrow (Wednesday, 28 June) is cancelled.

During today’s hearing, the Panel issued two oral orders in relation to the requests by the Defence made at the hearing yesterday. Firstly, the Panel rejected the Defence’s request to postpone the closing of the SPO case, currently scheduled for 6 July. Secondly, the Panel decided to postpone the Defence’s cross-examination of the current witness until Monday, 3 July.

Expert witness Marek Gasior resumes his testimony at the Shala trial this morning.

Today’s hearing in the Shala adjourned as originally scheduled at 16:00. The trial will resume tomorrow (Tuesday, 27 June), at 09:30.

The 9th Prosecution witness in the Shala trial is an expert witness Marek Gasior, a forensic medicine expert from Poland. Please be informed that today’s hearing is expected to last until 16:45 (or 17:30 in the delayed feed online).
