Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 26 October, at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. After completion of the 4th Defence witness Mark Shala, the trial against Pjetër Shala has adjourned for today. The next hearing in this case is scheduled for 20 November at 09:30.

In its oral order today, the Panel decided that, in case the accused is found guilty of one or more crimes charged, the sentence will be determined together with the pronouncement of the trial judgment as provided in the Rule 159(6) of the Rules.

Witness Mark Shala has resumed the testimony this morning. The Panel is currently putting questions to the witness.

Witness Mark Shala continues his testimony in the trial of Pjetër Shala. Following the completion of the Defence’s direct examination yesterday, the SPO has commenced the cross-examination of this witness this morning.

The SPO’s 29th witness W04577, who already appeared before the Court on 10 and 11 October, returned to the courtroom this morning for the continuation of the testimony. The trial then went into private session and then adjourned for today and for the week. The hearing tomorrow, 19 October, is cancelled. The proceedings in this case will resume on 30 October at 09:00.
