Trial Panel II today closed the evidentiary proceedings in the Gucati&Haradinaj case, ordered the parties to submit their final trial briefs by 3 March and scheduled the closing statements to take place from 14 until 18 March 2022. Here is the full order.

Yesterday, 2 February 2022, the Defence teams of Hysni Gucati and Nasim Haradinaj notified about the official closure of their cases. The notifications are here.

Following the completion of the testimony of the SPO last witness, the Mustafa trial is adjourned for the week. The next hearing is scheduled for 17 February, when the Defence preparation conference and the Victims’ status conference will be jointly convened.

Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 3 February, at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. SPO witness Fatmir Humolli resumes the testimony in the trial against Mustafa.

The 13th and the last SPO witness in the Mustafa trial is a former KLA member Fatmir Humolli.

Today's hearing in the Mustafa case will commence at 11:00 (or 11:45 via the delayed feed). 

On 28 January 2022, the Specialist Prosecutor filed, as strictly confidential and ex-parte, its pre-trial brief as well as the witness and exhibit lists in the case against Pjetër Shala. The relevant filing informing of this submission is available here.

Following the completion of the status conference today, the Gucati&Haradinaj trial is adjourned until further notice. The Panel will issue an order on the next steps in due course. The hearing on 4 February is cancelled.

On 28 January 2022, the Registrar assigned Mr Laws to represent the victim in the case of the Specialist Prosecutor v Pjetër Shala. The Pre-Trial Judge accepted one individual as a victim participating in the proceedings on 15 December 2021.
