The Trial Panel in the Gucati&Haradinaj case today tentatively set the date for the opening of the Defence case to 6 December, preceded by the Defence preparation conference on 2-3 December 2021. Furthermore, the SPO is directed to submit a notification formally closing its case by 10 November while the Defence is expected to file their motions to dismiss any or all charges, pursuant to Rule 130, by 17 November. The order is available in the KSC Public Court Records.

The 6th witness of the Specialist Prosecutor in the trial against Salih Mustafa is protected witness W04669.

The trial is adjourned for today and the session scheduled for tomorrow is cancelled. During the hearing today, both accused made their unsworn statements pursuant to Rule 142 of the KSC Rules of Procedure and Evidence. The Panel is expected to issue its consolidated decision soon about the next steps in this case.

The testimony of the SPO’s last witness Daniel Moberg completed today. The trial will resume on Monday, 8 November,  at 09:30.

The new witness in the Gucati&Haradinaj trial is Daniel Moberg, an Operational Security Officer within the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office.

SPO third witness Miro Jukić resumes his testimony in the Gucati & Haradinaj trial. He is currently being cross-examined by the Defence.

Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place today at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court.
