Thaçi et al. trial: testimony of SPO’s 55th witness ongoing/online stream functional
The testimony of the SPO's 55th witness Ramiz Qeriqi continued in the Thaçi et al. trial this morning.
The online stream of the hearing is currently functioning correctly. We acknowledge that the initial technical issues resulted in the first part of the hearing not being fully accessible in the live stream. The Kosovo Specialist Chambers will share a full public recording of today's hearing, including the part that was not accessible, with the media and the public as soon as possible.

Thaçi et al. trial: Prosecution’s 55th witness takes the stand
The new prosecution witness is Ramiz Qeriqi. As per the summary presented by the SPO in court, this witness served as a battalion Commander in the KLA’s 121st Brigade in the Pashtrik zone during the relevant period.

Januzi et al. case: deadline for legal aid submissions now extended (Bahtijari)
On 15 April 2024, Pre-Trial Judge Guillou granted the Bahtijari Defence's request and instructed them to finalize and submit the required documents for the KSC legal aid request by 19 April. This extension was granted by Judge Guillou on the basis of an established good cause.

KSC Weekly Press Briefing on 18 April
Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 18 April, at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. Journalists will have the opportunity to ask questions. Pre-registration is required to attend each briefing. To pre-register, please send an email with name and affiliation to [email protected]. Deadline for pre-registration is every Thursday at 12:00. The Zoom details will be shared following pre-registration. Recordings of the update provided during the Weekly Press Briefings will be made available on the KSC YouTube Channel.

P. Shala trial: closing statements completed/judgment in due course
After the lunch break, the Trial Panel did not have any questions, so the trial proceeded with the parties presenting their arguments on reparations. Afterward, the accused provided his statement, and the closing statements were finished, marking the end of the trial. Please note that the accused's statement was mostly redacted, as ordered by the Panel.
The Panel will deliver its judgment in due course.
The hearings on 18 and 19 April are cancelled.
