Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 16 November, at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. Journalists will have the opportunity to ask questions. Pre-registration is required to attend each briefing. To pre-register, please send an email with name and affiliation to [email protected]. The testimony of witness Sadik Halitjaha resumes this morning. He is now being cross-examined by the Defence of Hashim Thaçi.

This morning’s hearing in the Thaçi et al. case will commence at 09:15 (or 10:00 via the delayed feed online).

Please note that the sitting time for this trial tomorrow (Thursday, 16 November) will be from 09:00 until 16:00.

Following the completion of testimony of the 37th SPO witness Shefqet Kabashi this afternoon, the testimony of the previous, 36th witness Sadik Halitjaha, is now resuming in the Thaçi et al. trial. The Defence of Kadri Veseli resumes its cross-examination of this witness.

The Defence of Rexhep Selimi continues its cross-examination of the Prosecution’s 37th witness Shefqet Kabashi, who is testifying via video-link.  

Shefqet Kabashi is the new SPO witness, whose testimony has just commenced via video-link.

15:00 – 17:00, first session

17:00 - 17:30, break

17:30 – 19:30, second session

Today’s hearing in the Thaçi et al. trial is adjourned. The hearings tomorrow and Wednesday, 14 and 15 November, are scheduled to take place from 15:00 until 19:30 (or 15:45 - 20:15 in the delayed feed online) in order to hear another witness, who will testify via video-link. The testimony of the current witness (Sadik Halitjaha) should resume after that (currently expected on Thursday, 16 November).

As mentioned in our previous announcement, the KSC Single Judge Nicolas Guillou on 6 November ordered continued detention against Isni Kilaj and noted that further details on the reasoning underlying that decision would be provided later. The public redacted version of the reasons is now available in our Public Court Records.

Sadik Halitjaha is the next SPO witness in the trial of Thaçi et al. trial. According to the summary read by the SPO in court, this witness was a KLA officer with various positions during the relevant period.
