As per order of the Trial Panel, the SPO filed, on 3 April, a public redacted version of its corrected pre-trial brief in the case against Thaçi, Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi.

On 3 April 2023, the Court of the Appeals Panel granted in part a request by Mustafa Defence for an extension of the time limit and authorised it to file its appeal brief by 24 April 2023. More details in the decision.

Today, Thaçi’s, Veseli’s and Selimi’s Defence teams completed their opening statements, including the unsworn statements by Thaci and Selimi, pursuant to Rule 142(1) of the Rules. The trial will resume tomorrow, 5 April, at 09:00 with the opening statement of the Krasniqi’s Defence.

The Defence of Rexhep Selimi is now presenting its opening statement, preceded by the unsworn statement of the accused.

The second Defence team is now addressing the Court.

The Defence of Hashim Thaçi is now making its opening statement.

Following the completion of the opening statement by the Victims’ counsel, today’s hearing in the Thaçi et al. case is adjourned. The trial will resume tomorrow, 4 April, at 09:00 with the opening statements by the Defence teams (starting with Thaci’s Defence).

The presentation of the opening statement by the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office has been completed today. The Victims’ Counsel is now presenting his opening statement at the Thaçi et al. trial.
