A natural person who believes to have personally suffered physical, material or mental harm as a direct result of a crime alleged in an indictment confirmed by a Pre-Trial Judge may apply to the Specialist Chambers to be admitted as a participating victim.

On 24 September 2020, the indictment in the Mustafa case became public. The indictment in this case can be found here.

On 5 November 2020, the indictment against Thaci et al. was made public. The latest indictment is available here.

On 15 April 2021, the indictment against Pjetёr Shala was made public and the latest indictment in this case can be accessed on this page.

 

APPLICATION PROCESS:

If you wish to apply for participation in the proceedings, please fill in an APPLICATION FORM and submit it to the Victims’ Participation Office.

Completed application forms, together with any identification and supporting documents can be sent:

3. If you wish to submit the application form in a more secure and confidential manner, use the Secure Contact Form by clicking HERE.

You are required to provide your basic contact details in the secure form, available at the link below and select: Submit Information. When the VPO receives your basic information, you will be contacted via e-mail by the Victims’ Participation Office and given further instructions.

This procedure to submit the application form has been put in place to ensure the confidentiality of the information provided by you to the Victims’ Participation Office. In addition, it is designed to protect the safety, security and confidentiality of all exchanges of information and/or documents between you and the Victims’ Participation Office.

 

The deadline for submitting application forms is limited. Applications must be submitted to the Victims’ Participation Office sufficiently in advance of the opening of the trial.
