    KSC Weekly Press Briefing on 25 September 2025

    Another KSC weekly press briefing will take place on Thursday, 25 September, at 14:30. During this briefing, the KSC Spokespersons will provide a short update on the latest developments in the judicial proceedings before the KSC, as well as on other public activities of the Court. Journalists will have the opportunity to ask questions. Pre-registration is required to attend each briefing. To pre-register, please send an email with name and affiliation to [email protected]. Deadline for pre-registration is every Thursday at 12:00. The Zoom details will be shared following pre-registration. Recordings of the update provided during the Weekly Press Briefings will be made available on the KSC YouTube Channel.

    Thaçi et al. trial adjourned for the week/resumes on 29 September

    The third Defence witness for Hashim Thaçi, John Duncan, completed his testimony today. Following this, the trial was adjourned for the remainder of the week. The hearing scheduled for tomorrow, 24 September, is cancelled. Proceedings will resume on Monday, 29 September at 09:00.

    Thaçi et al. trial: witness Duncan resumes testimony

    Witness John Duncan resumed his testimony this morning. Yesterday, he was examined by the Defence teams of Thaçi, Veseli and Krasniqi, followed by the SPO, whose cross-examination continues today.

    Thaçi et al. (administration of justice): SPO files pre-trial brief

    As ordered by the Pre-Trial Judge in July, the SPO has filed its pre-trial brief in the case against Thaçi, Smakaj, Kilaj, Fazliu and Kuçi. The brief was filed as confidential together with the Prosecution’s list of witnesses and exhibits. The filing notifying this submission is available here.

    Thaçi et al. trial: third Defence witness begins testimony

    Former UK Diplomatic Service officer John Duncan is the new Defence witness for Hashim Thaçi, whose testimony has commenced this morning. This is the third Defence witness so far.

    Thaçi et al. trial adjourned for the week/resumes on 22 September

    Following the completion of testimony of Paul Williams, the trial in the case against Thaçi, Veseli, Selimi and Krasniqi adjourned for today and for the rest of the week. Proceedings will resume on Monday, 22 September at 09:00, when a new Defence witness is expected to begin testimony.

    Thaçi et al. trial: Paul Williams continues testimony

    Hashim Thaçi’s second Defence witness, Paul Williams, resumed his testimony today. After being questioned yesterday by two Defence teams and the SPO, the Trial Panel has begun putting its questions to the witness this morning.

    Thaçi et al. trial: second Defence witness begins testimony

    Following the completion of testimony of James Rubin, who was first questioned by the Trial Panel and then further questioned by two Defence teams, the second witness for the Thaçi Defence appeared in the courtroom today. Paul Williams, presented by the Defence as a pro bono legal advisor to the Kosovo delegation at the Rambouillet Conference in February and March 1999, has now begun his testimony.
