On 14 December 2016 Dr Ekaterina Trendafilova was appointed the first President of the Specialist Chambers.

The Kosovo Specialist Chambers welcome the Kingdom of Netherland’s ratification of the Host State Agreement (HSA) between the Netherlands and Kosovo.

The recently appointed Chief Prosecutor of the newly created Specialist Prosecutor’s Office, Mr David Schwendiman, visited Belgrade, where he met with senior representatives of the Serbian government, judicial authorities and the international community.

On 01 September 2016, David Schwendiman, Lead Prosecutor of the EU Special Investigative Task Force (SITF), was appointed Specialist Prosecutor (Chief Prosecutor) of the newly established Kosovo Specialist Prosecutor’s Office (SPO).
